BEING THANKFUL FOR SIMPLE THINGS

Steve W. Reeves

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God”
(Philippians 4:6).

“In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus”
(1 Thessalonians 5:18). .

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for: Salvation through Christ. Glorious sunsets. Smiles. Fresh, clean air. A child’s laughter. The senses of sight, sound, touch, taste and smell. Warmth on a cold night. Multi-colored autumn leaves. Precious friends.

Freedom.

Warm, brilliant sunshine. Pure, sparkling water. Picturesque valleys. Towering trees.  Active teenagers. Jobs.

Encouragement. A warm summer’s day. Good health. Adequate shelter. A life well lived. Hugs. Transportation. Pets. Daily Bread (Essentials). The serenity of dawn. The innocence of precious babies.

Peace

A starry night. New fallen snow. Kindness. Men and women in the military. Towering mountains. Music.

Grace.

Strength in difficult times. Veterans. Vast oceans. Parents and Grandparents. Inspiring literature. The Bible.

Faith, Hope and Love.  Oh yes, love.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen
